Kadarka wine, an autochthonous variety that is almost forgotten in our region, originates from the sandstone in the north of Serbia. Tonković Winery, perhaps the only winery in Serbia that produces wine from the Kadarka grape variety, was founded in 2006. The wine is full-bodied and densely structured, with pronounced fruit aromas, the most prominent of which are notes of cherry and blueberry jam. Creamy tones of vanilla can also be felt in the finish, given that the wine is aged in 300L oak barrels for at least 18 months.

The progenitor of the new category of “Super Tuscan” wines, Tignanello Antinori is aged in French and Hungarian oak barriques for 12 to 14 months, and then another 12 months in bottles. It is produced only in years when the grapes are of exceptional quality. Since 1971, it has not been produced in 7 vintages. This blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc is ruby ​​red and features strong aromas of ripe cherries, plums, smoke, balsamic, and spicy notes such as pepper and tobacco. Strong tannins, excellent structure, and a persistent fruity finish.

An interesting presentation of wines from the Piedmont region comes from the town of Monforte d’Alba, the Nebbiolo variety with intense aromas of dried fruit, dried figs, and raisins with spicy tones. A very nice aroma of violets is felt in the full-bodied finish.

From the Antinori winery comes Brunello di Montalcino, one of the most famous and popular wines in the world. This Sangiovese Grosso is a medium to full-bodied ruby ​​red with intense aromas of ripe cherries, plums, and blackberries with mild spicy notes of dried herbs. The tannins are soft and well-balanced. It has excellent aging potential.

Kovačević Winery is the originator of modern winemaking in Serbia, and wine production started in 2001. Aurelius S belongs to the premium segment of this winery; it is a full-bodied wine with aromas of ripe cherries, chocolate, and jammy berries. It is aged in barrique barrels with a volume of 225 L, so the aromas of roasted coffee can be felt in the finish.

This blend of Prokupac, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot of the Ivanović Winery from Aleksandovačka Župa proudly holds the title of the best red wine of the Balkans for 2022. A massive wine with an intense taste, juicy and robust with aromas of prunes, blackberries, and the crust of homemade jam on the nose, along with sweet spices and smoky notes, proudly bears the name Numera Pola.

This winery, which has 50 hectares of vineyards, comes to us from the western part of Tuscany. The name of the winery represents the names of the two hills on which the vineyards are located. A medium to full-bodied wine aged for 12 months in large barrels, with aromas of cherry, chocolate, cloves, cinnamon, and dried cranberry. It has an excellent tannic structure and a long finish.

From Srem, from the western slopes of Fruška Gora, from Erdevik comes the full-bodied Grand Trianon with interesting aromas of blackberries, wild blueberries, and rosehips with accompanying floral tones of violets and licorice, the icon of the Erdevik winery. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah was aged for one year in new French oak and then another year in the bottle. A wonderful jammy finish with notes of sweet forest fruit, prunes, and pepper defends the pride of Erdevik, which has been mentioned since 1931.

Variety: Probus / Alk.: 13.5% / Type: Dry

The number on the label indicates the year of the coronation of the Roman emperor Probus, who planted the first vineyards in those regions, which speaks of the tradition of wine production. Also, 276 represents the altitude at which the plantations of the Probus variety are located. A medium-bodied wine, ruby ​​red, with aromas of forest fruits, where the aroma of fresh currants dominates the most. Also, in the finish, you can feel the spicy tones that come from aging in French oak barriques for a period of 12 months.

From Lipovac near Topola, we receive Merlot and Malbec aged in Serbian, American, and Hungarian oak barrels. Emphasized barrel aromas, intense ruby ​​red color that opens up the spectrum of rich fruit aromas of dark berries, especially ripe cherries. A wine with a full and rounded body and a creamy structure characteristic of Merlot.

The Castillo de Aresan winery owns 200 hectares of vineyards in one piece, and the most interesting thing is that the representation of red varieties is 85%, so the winery is oriented more towards the production of red wines. The wine has an intense ruby ​​red color with aromas of green berries, popout currants, and blackberries. Excellent medium-bodied tannic structure with a long finish and notes of violet, pepper, and cloves. Aged for 7 months in new French oak barrels.

From Vinča near Topola, another ruler (regent) among full-bodied wines, with firm tannins and an intense aroma of plum, blackberry, blueberry, and cherry jam with exceptional mint tones, arrives from the Aleksandrović winery. In the long finish, tones of roasted hazelnuts and vanilla acquired by aging for 24 months in oak barrels make this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot a true Regent.
